Meet the Founder

Viraaj Gupta

Viraaj Gupta is a student entrepreneur who believes in the power of food to connect people. Viraaj’s love for fruits started early, on family travels to tropical regions where fruits like lychees, mangosteen, and berries were abundant. He realized there was a gap in the Indian market where high-quality exotic fruits remained out of reach for many. With an entrepreneurial mindset and a deep sense of purpose, he founded Farm Fresh Bites at just 15.

But Viraaj didn’t stop at profit. He saw an opportunity to do more, especially for those who often go unnoticed. Through partnerships with hospitals like KEM and Tata Memorial, he created a food distribution network that turns every fruit sale into a meal for someone in need. He strongly believes that food is more than nourishment—it’s a form of dignity, healing, and hope.

Commitment

Our Commitment to Sustainability

We’re mindful about every part of the process—from reducing packaging waste to supporting local logistics teams and minimizing our carbon footprint. By shortening the supply chain and building direct relationships, we ensure fair pay to vendors and better value for customers.

OUR STORY - Philosophy

The Origin of Farm Fresh Bites

Farm Fresh Bites was born from a simple idea: to make premium, exotic fruits more accessible to urban families while supporting the farmers who grow them. Founded by Viraaj Gupta, a high school student passionate about sustainable agriculture and community well-being, this initiative began as a small fruit delivery service connecting local vendors to gated residential communities in Mumbai.

What started as a few weekly orders quickly transformed into a purpose-driven venture—delivering not only freshness and flavor but also dignity and opportunity to small-scale vendors.

Our Mission

At Farm Fresh Bites, our mission is threefold:

  • To source responsibly: We work with trusted local and regional suppliers to ensure the highest quality fruits without compromising on ethics or sustainability.

  • To promote healthy lifestyles: We believe exotic fruits like mangoes, dragon fruit, blueberries, cherries, and strawberries should be part of every family’s diet—offering rich nutritional value and unique flavors.

  • To give back with purpose: We channel a portion of our profits to fund “Goodness Bowls,” a meal distribution initiative for patients and families waiting for treatment at major public hospitals in Mumbai.

OUR CAUSE

Origin of the initiative

Farm Fresh Bites started because of a problem I personally faced — living in a gated high-rise in Mumbai, I struggled to find fresh, good-quality fruits. Big apps like Amazon Fresh or BigBasket just didn’t cut it — the fruits arrived stale after sitting in warehouses. I realised this was a gap no one was solving. At the same time, local vendors often had surplus but no direct way to reach customers like us. So, I started Farm Fresh Bites to bridge that gap — connecting local vendors directly to people who want fresh, seasonal fruits without the unnecessary steps in between. Along the way, I recognised it could be more than just a business. So, I built a small community around it, where good food connects people. What drives us is knowing that fresh, quality fruits should be for everyone, not just a few. That’s why a part of what we do also goes toward our CSR initiative — bringing fruits to underprivileged students who don’t always get access to them. It’s our small way of giving back.

Values

Farm Fresh Bites is built on a simple idea — good food should be fresh, accessible, and benefit everyone involved. We value the hard work of local vendors and farmers who often get left behind in the big supply chain. Supporting them while making sure customers get fresh, seasonal fruits is what drives us. We also believe in sharing — through our CSR initiative, we bring fruits to underprivileged students who don’t have regular access to them. It's about keeping things fair, fresh, and community-driven — making sure every step in the journey adds value to someone.

Vision

Our vision is to fix the broken link between local fruit vendors and consumers who deserve better, fresher produce. Living in Mumbai’s gated communities, I saw first-hand how hard it is to get good quality fruits — everything felt stale by the time it reached us through large delivery platforms. Meanwhile, local vendors often have perfectly good fruits they can’t sell in time. Farm Fresh Bites aims to bridge that gap — giving vendors a chance to sell more and helping people access fresh fruits easily. But we don’t want to stop there. Through our CSR effort, we also make sure some of this produce reaches underprivileged students who rarely get to enjoy fresh fruits. Our dream is simple — create a cycle where everyone benefits, from the grower to the consumer, while making fresh fruits a part of every home and every child’s plate.
